BERNARD FERNANDEZ ON GERALD McCLELLAN

There is absolutely no question in my mind that the greatest challenge to Roy Jones Jr.'s domination would have been Gerald McClellan, one of the hardest-hitting natural punchers I have ever seen. Jones-McClellan could have been Hagler-Hearns all over again. Watching Jones toy with an overmatched pretender like Rick Frazier again reminded me of how much Jones has missed by not having a great opponent. The fact that Jones has worked to raise money for Gerald's medical bills is as great an achievement as anything he has done in the ring. Certainly it's more praiseworthy than his beating up on Rick Frazier.
